Rotary combats - Poverty, Neglect, Hunger, Water Shortages and Contamination, Poor Housing, Inadequate Medical Attention and Supplies, Disease, Discrimination, Ignorance and Poor Reading and Comprehension Skills.

Club Changeover at the Port Douglas Yacht Club

The Port Douglas Yacht Club was the venue for the Changeover Dinner for the Rotary Club of Mossman. Jan Stokes spoke about the achievements during the previous year and presented the Rotary Collar to 2022-2023 President Roby Kessler. Roby thanked all the members for their commitment and dedication before introducing his new Board Members and detailing his plans for the coming year. Rotarians and their guests were treated to a stunning sunset, just as dinner was served!

Preview of the Garden of Plastic Mural at Paws and Claws

Rotarians were treated to a preview of the Garden of Plastics Mural and a tour of this outstanding facility at the new Paws and Claws Animal Shelter in Port Douglas. The mural was created by local children, with plastic bottle tops collected by Mossman Rotary, in conjunction with the Call of the Running Tide environmental festival. An official opening for Paws and Claws will be announced shortly.

World’s Greatest Meal

End Polio Now

The Rotary Club of Mossman and the Mossman Memorial Bowls Club are hosting a fund-raising evening for World Polio Day. Come to the Bowls Club, enjoy dinner and make a donation to help END POLIO. Every little bit helps; your donation will be tripled by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation with every dollar going to the cause. It will save lives and give children a chance at a healthy future,

A Trip Down Memory Lane

While moving our storage from John's Shed to our new storage facility at the Douglas Hockey Club Grounds, we discovered 3 DVDs, with unknown content, from 2008-2010. So at our next meeting, instead of a guest speaker, we revisited those far off days!
