Rotary Youth Driver Awareness

Year 11 students from Mossman High School spent the day at the Showgrounds attending RYDA, a program that features a highly engaging and memorable one-day workshop which front-loads students’ understanding of road safety. The workshop sessions are led by a team of trained facilitators including Police, driving instructors and other community sector specialists.
Casual Pizza Night

Karen and Chris very graciously hosted the members of the Mossman Rotary to al fresco Pizza at their home as our Social night for May. We had a very relaxed evening of pizza, wine and excellent conversation and with the added excitement of seeing Chris and Karen’s new car – a mint condition Pontiac Firebird!

Dinner at the Tin Shed

The Tin Shed in Port Douglas was the venue for our Social Night in April. Members were joined by Angela and Jenny and enjoyed great conversation and a delicious meal overlooking Trinity Inlet.
Garden of Lids

The Rotary Club of Mossman was pleased to welcome Jill and Rosie from Call of the Running Tide who gave us a preview of their ideas for a Garden of Lids. We are collaborating with artists from CRT and children of Douglas Shire to create a mural using plastic lids.

Rotary Assembly

On the weekend of March 13th and 14th Rotary District 9550 held it’s annual Assembly. Members worked in small groups to develop skills and strategies to grow and run our clubs successfully. It was great to share ideas and make new friends from across our District.
