Rotary combats – Poverty, Neglect, Hunger, Water Shortages and Contamination, Poor Housing, Inadequate Medical Attention and Supplies, Disease, Discrimination, Ignorance and Poor Reading and Comprehension Skills.

Mossman Community Christmas Party in the Park was on Saturday 6th.
Mossman Rotary Club participated and gave out fresh fruit; pineapple, bananas, watermelon – all grown locally and all Free.
President Roby inducted our newest member, Duncan, at our conversation last week.
KIND (Kids in need of Donations) ladies helped us out at the Port Douglas markets and earned some much needed funds for their organisation.
Club President, Roby, presented the cheque at our meeting last night.
President Roby’s effort last Sunday at the Port Douglas Markets to raise much needed funds for Australian Rotary Health research into mental health prevention and awareness.
It’s called Hat Day and is held annually in October.
To quote President Roby: “We were all supposed to wear crazy hats, and yes, you’ve got it, I was the only one crazy enough to do so.
Never mind I had a great time convincing the public to buy our raffle tickets and the looks and comments about my hat (mostly positive ones may I add) made my day. Read more…
